As a system test engineer team leader, you will be in charge of system testing of complex VOIP/Networking solutions. An ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of networking and VoIP protocols (SIP/RTP). The role requires both manual QA as well as the ability to automate the test cases to reduce the manual QA efforts and achieve higher efficiency.
Understand customer environment/behaviour and create a detailed test plan
Create a detailed Test design and cases for product features
Write automation scripts for new features
Installing and configuring the servers, routers, switches and hardware required to execute the test cases
Executing tests and troubleshooting failures, identifying bugs as they arise
Working with the product developers to isolate, characterize, and reproduce bugs
Writing bug reports that include a complete characterization of the conditions under which the bug is triggered, the behavior that results, and an assessment of the impact on customers
Collaborate with product owners and developers to deliver new services and features in the voice platform.
Contribute to the creation of documentation outlining the design and features in the voice platform.
Act as an escalation point for technical issues
3+ years’ experience of managing testing teams
5+ years of relevant industry experience as a system test engineer or equivalent
3+ years of experience designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting IP and complex solutions
Deep understanding of VOIP protocols (SIP/RTP) and other real-time communication protocol
Experience working with Linux OS, Linux tools and Docker
Deep understanding of networking protocol experience (IP/TCP/UDP).
Experience with Mysql, mongoDB or other databases.
Additional Languages: Bash/Sh, PHP, Python
Minimum 3 years’ experience with networking. Knowledge of switches, routers, and firewall.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering
Experience with agile methodology
Highly motivated and creative individual
Able to operate with a high degree of independence
